When the USB driver is installed for the Sekonic scanner, the software will assign a non-physical port like Com5 or Com7. To instruct Remark Classic OMR on which port to use:

  1. Locate the device driver by going to the System Icon in the Windows Control Panel and see what com port was assigned to the device.
  2. In Remark Classic OMR, go to Tools|Scanner Properties and select the proper com port. If no com port shows up then the USB driver has not been installed. You will need to install the driver from the CD that came with the scanner or contact Sekonic for the proper driver.
  3. Ensure that the computer's main user has Administrator rights and that they are the Local Administrator. The drivers may not install correctly without the Local Administrator being signed in.
